What's Yonder?

"It's as if Time Out, Amex and Monzo had a baby" - Will T, Yonder Member

We're building the financial membership of the future. Starting with a credit card that has fun and experiences at its core, we're the antithesis to your dad's stuffy, corporate, boring credit card.

Whilst tech is revolutionising the finance industry, credit is still stuck in the stone ages. We want to create a world where financial services are fair and conscious, and the stress of debt is eliminated for everyone. We're taking a values lead approach to changing credit for everyone, so we recommend you check them out here: Our DNA.

Since April 2022, we've grown from just an idea to a beautiful, fully regulated credit product that our members absolutely love. And now, we're available across England, with flagship cities in Birmingham, Bristol & Bath, London and Manchester.

We had a Series A raise of 62.5M in 2023 and we're backed by some of the best in the business and have attracted top talent from the likes of Monzo, Wise and ClearScore.

Sounds cool. What's my part in this?

Experiences bring our product to life. Whether it's the latest restaurant opening, a new West End theatre show or a breakout consumer goods brand that is challenging the fashion industry, our members trust us to curate Experiences that brings them closer to the people and things they love.

We're looking for a Dining Partnerships Manager to own and execute the strategy for the hero category of our Experiences rewards program. You'll be our go-to expert on the hospitality industry in London, and across the UK. Here's what you'll do:

  • Develop, and be accountable for the acquisition and retention strategy of restaurant and bar partners, in London and across the UK. This includes identifying potential partners, and building and maintaining relationships
  • Analyse campaign performance to optimise individual partnership strategies, and to share insights with the rest of the business on how the category is performing in any given period
  • Iterate and challenge the current partner value prop to continue delivering on a partnership philosophy that enables partners to win with us. This is not a traditional sales role; we believe in building true partnerships that have fair value exchange at the very core

We're looking for someone that:
Has 5+ years experience operating in, or adjacent to, the UK hospitality scene. We are particularly interested to hear from those who have experience within the independent and mid-market segments. You should be interested in dining out, in London or further afield, and have your finger on the pulse of the industry as trends evolve through it. Bonus: if you have a point of view on what's missing in the industry right now
Has 2+ years sales experience, including building and managing a pipeline. You must be able to demonstrate target attainment, and be comfortable using a CRM such as Hubspot or Salesforce
Has commercial acumen. You'll be comfortable negotiating contracts, and have a firm understanding of the downstream consequences on the P&L
Is obsessed with partner outcomes. Hospitality margins are tiny, and we're not interested in reducing them to further our gain. You should be excited to roll up your sleeves and understand their business, what they need, and how we can work together. This might mean advocating internally, or walking away from an opportunity altogether - because it's in their best interests

What's the interview process like?

We take the candidate experience really seriously, so we've made the process as transparent as possible. We also promise to be super responsive, and will never leave you wondering where you stand for weeks on end.

Here's how it works:

  • Stage 1: Intro call (45 mins):

You will have an initial Zoom call with Hels to find out more about you and to tell you more about us.

  • Stage 2: Case interview (60 mins):

This will be a Zoom call with Hels and Emily. You will be given two hypothetical problems at the start, and 10 minutes to gather your thoughts and formulate a response. We'll then spend the rest of the time chatting through how you've approached the problems

  • Stage 3: Face-to-face interview (2 hours):

Two 60-minute interviews to learn more about how you work. This will also be a great opportunity for you to meet the rest of the team so we would love it if you can come into the office for it! Interviews will be structured as follows:

    • Experience interview: We'll deep dive into your CV and talk about your past experiences. This stage will be with Hels and Tim
    • Values interview: We want to learn more about how you work - we'll ask you questions related to our principles (Our DNA). This stage will be with two people from our wider team.

    We'll also include a 15-minute comfort break

  • Stage 4: Offer If everyone's happy, we'll make you an offer to join us - YAY! We hope to always give you a decision between each stage within 24 hours (where possible).

Other things to know:

  • We love closing the feedback loop at Yonder. You can opt into feedback at every stage of the process.
  • We must complete the right to work & criminal background checks for every new Yonder-er for compliance purposes because we handle sensitive customer data.
  • We also do reference checks, ideally with your most recent manager on the phone.
  • We like to move quickly at Yonder, so we will be ready to onboard you once the above checks are complete - the entire process can take between 2 - 6 weeks.

We know that diverse teams build better products. If you're from an under-represented community, we'd especially love to hear from you.

Even if you don't feel 100% qualified, please do apply anyway. Your attitude and desire to grow are just as important as your experience.
