Job Description
What will you be doing?
We're seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our expanding Debt Advisory team that sits within our Financial Advisory team in London. As part of this diverse team you will have significant client exposure, gain varied client 'pitch' experience alongside senior colleagues, build your own network of external lender and wider market contacts, work as part of small transaction teams on a variety of market-leading debt transactions that help clients finance some of their biggest strategic challenges including M&A led growth, refinancing, or restructuring debt and where our involvement often supports U.K. economic growth creating jobs and wider positive impact across a range of industries and geographies. The team is purpose led with a strong focus on people development; respect, inclusion and diversity are at the heart of our values.
As Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Attending client marketing meetings with colleagues and presenting our perspectives on debt market conditions and specific transaction opportunities;
- Supporting team members with internal marketing and deal origination across the Firm involving meetings across our regional network;
- Being part of small transaction teams on deals that will involve typically preparing options analysis, preparing information for submission to prospective lenders, analysing lenders' proposals, reporting to our clients, negotiating with lenders on behalf of our clients and managing a transaction from start through to completion;
- Project planning and responsibility for moving elements of the transaction process forward in a timely manner including anticipating next steps and good communication across the team;
- Analysing and synthesizing information for clients quickly in close cooperation with senior team members;
- Building your relationships with our client's teams, Evelyn Partners personnel, and third parties;
- Creating and reviewing financial models, and preparing associated reports for presentation to our clients;
- Liaising directly with clients and effectively managing elements of the transaction process;
- Prepare key documents (e.g. Information Memoranda, confidentiality letters, buyers research lists, sector analysis etc) and maintaining ownership of successive drafts; and
- Engaging with a market leading training and development programme supported by a Partner and Director led mentoring and coaching programmes
Key Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of Companies Act and Financial Reporting Standards
- Financial Modelling - demonstrable experience in building and utilising a variety of financial models
- Analysis and interpretation of financial information
- Report writing and preparation of wider presentation materials
- Advanced use of MS Excel and Powerpoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues
- Ability to build networks
