Our Assurance practice encompasses skills across regulation and finance with a deep analytics capability. Assurance builds, maintains, and develops confidence. We provide independent assurance by assessing the risks and underlying processes, providing conclusions as to which risks are being managed and mitigated in line with the business' appetite for risk. Deloitte's assurance offerings help those charged with governance to understand their business and build trust amongst key stakeholders and regulators.

Analytics

High quality and transparent reporting on data use and compliance of data handling is critical for both regulatory compliance and for rebuilding the trust of the public. Our dedicated Analytics team specialise in helping clients understand their data. By working seamlessly with the Specialist, Modelling and Analytics, Central and Securitisation teams, we are able to get client projects over the line often against challenging timelines.

Cube team

We support the firm's leadership across service lines (our stakeholders), with actionable insights into the firm's culture, profitability, quality and risk metrics.

Our vision is to modernise the way strategic decisions and risk management is conducted at the firm - transforming them into analytics-driven activities, backed by our deep expertise in insights generation and analysis.

Our role is to understand the key 'exam questions' that each of our stakeholders is trying to address, designing the analytics, and collaborate with them in identifying the relevant and actionable insights.

We are looking to hire a Manager, who will lead our firmwide risk analytics workstream.

  • Drive expanding the adoption of our firmwide risk analytics suite Prometheus across service lines
  • Lead the development of new firmwide risk monitoring initiatives end-to-end from conception/whiteboarding to BAU operationalisation
  • Support the growth and development of team members to help them reach their full potential

  • Excellent communication and client/stakeholders management skills:
    • Constructively challenge stakeholders, move from 'data request' to unpicking key exam questions and suggest solutions to answer them.
    • Understand stakeholders' key motivations and principles to deliver actionable insights and value to the business
    • Proactively reaching out and working with stakeholders to address emerging issues in novel ways
    • Ability to write and convey compelling narrative around the vision for any new product/tools and how this will be achieved.
  • Excellent project management skills:
    • Accountable and take ownership of the whole project lifecycle
    • Able to deliver a succinct project plan that covers deliverables, timelines, key stages, and resources/costing
    • In a timely manner ensure resourcing, deliverables and tasks are all outlined for our stakeholders and team members.
    • Deliver on time, and on budget. Communicate any potential delay/overrun well ahead to stakeholders and team leadership
    • Proactively work around blockers to deliver the project as planned
  • Technical experience in one or more of the following tools/programming languages: SQL, Alteryx, Python, VBA, Tableau is desirable but not essential
    • Key skill is being able to bridge the business knowledge/stakeholder requirements with the technical competencies in the team
  • Experience in managing strategy consulting or business process transformation engagements is desirable but not essential

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
