Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £43,421 (Level one) rising to £46,464 per annum , you would also receive payment for each on call completed at the rate of £32.81

Location: Loxley House, station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3NG

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the drive, commitment, and leadership skills to inspire a team dedicated to helping young people transition to adulthood?

Nottingham City Council is seeking a remarkable, enthusiastic, and experienced manager to lead our Supported Accommodation Provision within Children's Services. This vital role supports young people in care to develop the skills they need to achieve positive outcomes and prepare for independent living.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work within a regulated service, Ofsted. to ensure the best possible outcomes for the young people you will be supporting in all areas of their lives.

As the Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated staff, delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support. You will ensure young people in our supported accommodation receive the guidance, encouragement, and life skills training they need to thrive as they move towards adulthood.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating a team to provide the best care and support for young people in our service, with assistance of two assistant managers.
  • Ensuring that all safeguarding, regulatory, and service standards are met to the highest level.
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with young people to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to develop tailored support plans.
  • Managing resources efficiently to deliver a safe, nurturing environment.

You will be part of a very experienced, supportive, and dynamic team of managers within our Children's residential service, whose homes are consistently either Good or Outstanding

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Experience in a position relevant to children's residential/supported accommodation within the last 5 years.
  • Experience of handling conflict and managing sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes.
  • The ability to lead a team celebrating success and challenge and improve poor performance.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and the DFE Supported Accommodation standards and regulation.

- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post

- The role requires you to participate in the on call rota.
