Our London International Corporate Tax Compliance team supports inbound clients in meeting increasingly complex UK tax compliance and reporting obligations in relation to their UK investments. We are looking to appoint a Manager or Associate Director to join this growing team.

As a Manager or Associate Director within Deloitte's London International Corporate Tax Compliance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality UK corporate tax compliance services to a diverse portfolio of foreign owned multinational clients.

You will play a key role in managing complex compliance engagements, building strong client relationships, and leading teams to deliver efficient, technically robust outcomes. The role offers a hybrid working model, working collaboratively with colleagues and clients.

This role provides the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, broaden your client exposure and take on increased responsibility within a market-leading corporate tax practice.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Tax Compliance Delivery

  • Managing and reviewing the output of UK corporation tax compliance engagements for multinational groups, including:
    • Reviewing UK corporation tax returns and computations prepared by junior team members, including both UK-based preparers and offshore-based preparers in our overseas delivery centres
    • Collaborating with specialist colleagues (e.g. our R&D specialists) to ensure that specialist claims and elections are appropriately reflected in the corporation tax returns submitted to HMRC
    • Ensuring that other claims and elections (e.g. group relief) are optimised at a UK group level
    • Reviewing tax provisioning workings prepared by junior team members for group reporting and / or local statutory accounts purposes
    • Assisting clients with their corporation tax payment obligations
    • Maintaining and overseeing information and workflows on our data sharing platforms, ensuring a positive experience for clients
    • Collaborating with clients to ensure that processes and the provision of information to support the preparation of our deliverables are efficient and effective
    • Driving forwards compliance-adjacent advisory projects (e.g. Corporate Interest Restriction analysis), with support as needed from our specialist teams
  • Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, developing trusted relationships with tax, finance, and other senior stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance work is delivered to a high technical standard, on time and in line with Deloitte's quality and risk management processes
  • Preparation / review of Pillar 2 compliance deliverables

Leadership & Team Management

  • Leading engagement teams, including collaboration with Deloitte's offshore delivery centres
  • Coaching and developing junior team members, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and pastoral support
  • Contributing to a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture

Commercial & Practice Contribution

  • Contributing to business development activity, including proposals, client meetings and relationship building
  • At Associate Director level, taking a more active role in account ownership, client strategy and revenue growth
  • Keeping up to date with developments in UK corporate tax legislation and HMRC practice

Connect to your skills and professional experience

Technical & Professional Experience

  • Strong UK corporate tax compliance experience gained in professional practice or in-house
  • Experience managing corporate tax compliance engagements and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Good understanding of UK corporation tax legislation, HMRC processes and compliance risk
  • Experience of tax accounting and reporting under UK GAAP and/or IFRS is desirable
  • Some familiarity with Pillar 2 compliance processes and outputs

Qualifications

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (or international equivalent)

Tax

Our comprehensive range of services encompasses everything from the completion of tax returns (corporation tax self-assessment) to complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross-border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
