Facilities Manager-HMNB Clyde-Helensburgh

  • £36000 per annum
  • 37 per week
  • Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30
  • Maintain relationships with key Stakeholders
  • Preferably with a Soft FM background
  • Has managed teams of 30 people.
  • Has an understanding of PFI contracts.

Person Specification
Essential

  • Proven experience in managing successful teams and operating in a highly commercial Soft FM environment with great results.
  • Experience with working and knowledge of waste.
  • Single or multi-site operational experience in a similar role with an understanding of delivering services to exacting specifications within quality and performance management regimes.
  • Previous budget management and Profit & Loss account responsibility
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • I.T & computer literate as well as contribution to web-based communications media
  • Excellent customer service qualities and high principles in service delivery
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and price sensitive markets.
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Ability to manage and motivate people.
  • A good team player
  • Able to exercise a good deal of tact and diplomacy with a professional approach.
  • Suitable background for government clearances
  • Integrity - Respects colleagues & customers

Key Responsibilities

  • Client and Contractual Management:
    • Maintain effective client relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and prioritizing safety in all activities.
    • Support the Head of FM in exceeding contractual obligations and driving continuous improvement.
  • Sub-Contractor Management:
    • Manage sub-contracted services to meet client expectations, focusing on minimizing KPI failures and financial penalties.
    • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, including risk assessments and incident reporting, and implement corrective actions.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Embed and monitor management reporting and quality systems, tracking metrics for contract performance, productivity, and efficiency.
    • Ensure adherence to profit protection processes and SLAs.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate productive site-level relationships with clients and maintain proactive communication with sub-contractors.
    • Actively seek feedback and commit to continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Training and Development:
    • Support the ESS Way Commitments program and ensure effective training and development within the team.
  • Project and Cost Management:
    • Lead and manage all sub-contractor service projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and provide clear monthly reporting.
    • Monitor contract costs and analyze data to drive improvements.
  • HR and Compliance:
    • Manage team members according to HR policies, ensuring all sub-contractors comply with updated
