About the Role:
Benchmark Capital is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Management Reporting Finance Manager to lead the comprehensive monthly reporting cycle for Benchmark Capital and its subsidiaries. This pivotal role ensures accuracy and timeliness in reporting while contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of four, ensuring effective performance and collaboration.
Oversee treasury and accounts payable functions.
Lead the month-end and year-end account closing processes.
Produce month-end management reporting packs and quarterly board report papers.
Own the Benchmark Group's consolidated management and statutory accounts, including monthly submissions to Schroders PLC and the integration of acquired businesses into consolidated results.
Contribute to the month-end intercompany reconciliation and disclosure requirements for Schroders.
Review and oversee management accounts produced by subsidiaries and relevant management information (MI).
Manage tax affairs for Benchmark Group, including Corporation Tax, VAT, and PSA arrangements, with support from the central tax team.
Produce Benchmark Group regulatory returns (FCA) with assistance from the wealth regulatory reporting team.
Lead the year-end audit and the production of statutory accounts, as well as assist with the client money (CASS) audit.
Handle treasury management and cash reporting needs.
Facilitate the annual budget and forecasting process.
Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed by the business.
Required Skills and Experience:
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proficient in accounting software and IT, with strong capabilities in managing the full end-to-end management accounting cycle.
Demonstrated team leadership skills and strong analytical capabilities.
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Understanding of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS.
Experience in preparing financial statements, statutory returns, and/or auditing.
Background in the financial services industry.
Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
