The Priory Hospital Glasgow is Scotland's leading independent Acute Psychiatric Hospital. We have a range of services including General Adult Psychiatry, Addictions and Eating Disorders.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager who will ensure all planned and preventative maintenance tasks, health and safety compliance checks and building fabric repairs are carried on time and to a high standard.

The successful candidate would ideally possess a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification within one of the key electrical, mechanical or building trades OR ... will be a specialist in a given field or highly experienced in the construction industry. The successful candidate will line manage a Maintenance Assistant and will be the first point of contact for all contractors on site.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly moving and handling techniques, COSHH/Risk Assessments, legionella prevention and fire safety. Applicants should be competent in minor building fabric repairs such as plumbing, joinery and decoration and have a good working knowledge of electrical and manual hand tools. The successful candidate will possess good IT, (MS Office Package) written and verbal communication skills and have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads. Applicants must have a valid UK driving licence.
