Make an Impact at RSM UK

The M365 Enterprise Platforms Manager is a senior, business-critical leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, governance, technical authority, and migration delivery of Microsoft 365 services.

RSM is undertaking a transformation of its Microsoft 365 (M365) estate as part of a Multi-Tenant Organisation (MTO) programme. This initiative will deliver a unified, secure, and scalable collaboration platform across RSM UK, US, Canada, and Ireland.

You will act as the central authority for M365 enterprise platforms, ensuring that global tenants are intentionally architected, secure by design, governed effectively, and optimised to support a seamless multi-region operating model. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership capability, and the ability to operate effectively across a complex international stakeholder landscape and multiple time zones.

You'll make an impact by:

Strategic Leadership

  • Defining and leading the strategic direction of the multi-tenant M365 landscape, ensuring alignment with the broader technology strategy and global MTO roadmap. Lead decision making on tenant design, identity architecture, security boundaries, collaboration patterns, and information governance.
  • Owning key architectural decisions including tenant design, identity architecture, security boundaries, collaboration models, and information governance.
  • Driving adoption of new M365 capabilities to maximise business value, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Aligning investment priorities with technology leadership and programme stakeholders, ensuring capability parity across regions whilst working to align expectations
  • Establishing and maintaining architecture documentation, including current-state, target-state, and transition architectures, ensuring clarity, consistency, and traceability of design decisions across the MTO programme.

Migration Leadership & Programme Delivery

  • Leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of M365 migration activities across territories.
  • Overseeing technical readiness assessments, coexistence strategies, transition state architectures, and data migration planning, ensuring alignment with local technology strategies.
  • Collaborating closely with global programme teams, enterprise architects, security leads, and business stakeholders to deliver a controlled and well governed migration.
  • Establishing and enforcing standards for change control, configuration management, and deployment quality.

Technical Ownership of M365 Enterprise Services

  • Providing authoritative expertise across all core M365 technologies, including but not limited to: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online & OneDrive, Teams & Teams Voice, Entra ID (Azure AD), Purview Compliance & Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Security & Defender Suite, Viva Engage
  • Ensuring the platform is secure, compliant, and resilient, aligned with the relevant regulatory requirements relevant to the accounting and advisory sector in the territories that the MTO will be operating
  • Establishing and maintaining standardised configuration baselines and architectural patterns across global tenants by creating and maintaining architecture documentation to provide transparency of design, security posture, and technical dependencies.

Global Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partnering with senior technology leaders to define unified operating models, governance frameworks, and platform standards.
  • Building strong relationships with US and UK technology teams to drive consistency and shared ways of working.
  • Engaging with business leaders to understand operational requirements and ensure the MTO programme delivers measurable productivity and collaboration outcomes.

Risk Management & Governance

  • Establishing and maintain enterprise governance frameworks for M365 usage, security, licensing, and data protection across global tenants.
  • Proactively identifying risks and interdependencies across territories and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and internal RSM policies.
