The Logistics Manager will play an integral role in managing relationships with supplier, customers and agencies to co-ordinate the movement of inbound & outbound goods, on time and in full.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Manager will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Managing all administration tasks for shipment of finished goods on delivered incoterms
  • Managing all administration tasks for the receipt of raw materials and products. Book transport and prepare paperwork for all suppliers on non-delivered incoterms
  • Managing the accuracy and efficiency of Warehouse processes including the execution of Making Material Flow and stocktaking policies and procedures to improve inventory accuracy and control
  • Managing the daily manifests to schedule work for receipt into and out of the warehouse
  • Supply Chain Metrics inclusive of Gross & agreed inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Responsible for managing warehouse external storage and premium freight costs
  • Leading problem resolution, root cause countermeasure and action plans to minimise disruption to the customer and OTD metric

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • Appropriate workplace experience in a shipping department within a manufacturing, export, import or logistics environment
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point

  • Effective communicator (verbal and written) with developed emotional intelligence
  • Works well individually and/or as part of a team and collaborates effectively with others
  • Can work in high pressure situations, prioritise effectively, and multitask
  • Has a results driven approach to work, is proactive and demonstrates a high level of initiative
