About the roleThis is an exciting time to join our Estate Planning team, as we look to undertake crucial growth and relocation plans to develop and deliver our Partnership Estate strategy. As a Location Planning and Assessment Manager, you will support the estate assessment and identify areas for new growth, utilising your own initiative, judgement and recommendations. The role will be primarily focused on the expansion of our portfolio of Waitrose convenience stores.

Expected salary: £52,800 - £65,000 per annum

Contract type: This position is a permanent contract.

Working pattern/flexible working: This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the Head Office. However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises.

Location: The role can be based at either our Bracknell or London Head Office depending on your preference. If based in London, the normal place of work for this role is Pimlico.

A full UK driving license is required to fulfil the travel requirements of the role.
Key responsibilities:

Recommending sales forecasts for new store locations identified by our Property Acquisitions Managers

Managing forecasting tools and external suppliers to develop necessary tools, setting briefs, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

Collaborating with finance, customer, and real estate teams to review the performance of new space openings, analysing reasons for over and under performance.

Using insights from performance reviews to suggest improvements to the opening process, forecasting, and propositions.

Contributing to strategic business projects with spatial considerations, providing clear recommendations through analytical techniques.

Evaluating the impact of online growth on physical estate sales forecasting.

People Management and task management responsibilities.

Essential skills you’ll need
● Catchment analysis and location planning experience in a retail environment
● Advanced Excel skills to undertake financial analysis
● Good communication skills- will be preparing and delivering presentations
● Project Management experience
● Ability to influence stakeholders
● Full UK driving license
Desirable skills/experience you may have
