ABOUT THE JOB

Gunzilla Games are looking to recruit an experienced Localisation Project Manager to join our dynamic team for our game OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Battle Royale 2.0 third-person shooter, due for release on PlayStation®5, Xbox® Series X|S and PC

As our Localisation Project Manager, you will manage the global translation needs for all digital platforms and be responsible for all aspects of the localisation workflow for our game.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate across teams to handle in-game global translation needs ensuring all in game text is localised, QA compliant and efficiently inserted into the game
  • Work closely with internal teams, copywriters, and regional offices to understand project requirements and develop customized localization strategies for assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure translators have the necessary resources and information to meet project objectives and deliver high-quality localization on time and within budget.
  • You will be responsible for all localisation launch content and post initial launch for all live update content localisation, as this is a GaaS
  • Optimize workflows by effectively utilizing internal translation tools and systems.
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively provide solutions to resolve or mitigate them.
  • Maintain and utilize translation tools, glossaries, and style guides to ensure consistency in tone, style, and quality.
  • Provide guidance on localization best practices and assist with any tool, process, font, or language-specific queries.
  • Identify and address gaps or inefficiencies in workflows or tools, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
  • Work with Vendor Management to monitor and assess vendor performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Support game localization projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have over 3 years of experience in a localization or translation project management role, preferably within the gaming or digital entertainment sectors.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of CAT tools and content management systems.
  • You are up-to-date with the latest translation technologies, with hands-on experience in machine translation and post-editing being a significant advantage.
  • You have a strong understanding of project management methodologies and processes.
  • You have outstanding organizational and prioritization abilities, with experience managing complex, high-speed projects.
  • You are capable of working independently and can handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • You excel in collaboration and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You are inquisitive and creative, with excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • You are proficient in more than one language.
