Mission:
Working for Smart Factory Automation (SFA) Customer Centre (CC) UK and reporting to local Business Line Manager (BLM), the LKAM should act as the customer contact for designated programmes to ensure the customer's Vision needs are satisfied through collaboration with relevant SFA Product Companies (PCs) and CC teams. This role is key to profitable growth for the CC with tangible benefit to our customers.

Role Description:
Working in close cooperation with the SFA BLM's, GKAM's as required, the LKAM will be a primary technical and commercial point of contact with the customers for agreed customer accounts and opportunities, to ensure customer needs are understood and satisfied. Primarily Midlands based, this role will primarily support selected MVI accounts throughout the UK. In addition, there may a requirement to support other projects & facilities should the need arise. The role is primarily customer facing and to be successful will require collaboration with the relevant PC Proposals, Projects, R&D and Product Management teams.

Job Description:
The role is responsible for assigned customer accounts by performing the following duties personally as well as utilizing the varied available internal/external resources.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Atlas Copco SFA is positioned as a strategic partner by bringing a high level of vision competence.
  • Achieve sales of SFA agreed targets.
  • Increase sales effectiveness by pursuing high potential accounts and opportunities.
  • Contribute to sales budgets, forecasts, and pipeline plans.
  • Create, maintain, and execute customer specific business plans for selected accounts, including Mission, Vision, Goals, Business Position (MS, NIS, customer input, NPS, competitive analysis, etc.), SWOT, Strategy, Organization. Plan to be signed off by Business Line Manager.
  • Provide customer quotations as needed and maintain required CUGP
  • Generate new opportunities in selected customers and markets in line with pipeline document.
  • Support the customer in identifying optimized vision processes. In all SFA cases this will include working with the PC to make recommendations for the best tailored solutions - this includes identifying correct vision combinations to enable the successful robot guidance, measuring and quality inspection of the customer's car products material.
  • Driving the customer design teams to use the most up to date SFA equipment specifications and data files.
  • Offering expert advice and making AC easy to do business with.
  • Providing technical support as and when required.
  • Liaising with SFA PC R&D team as and when required.
  • Work with several layers of customers, sales, project management, product management, end users and partners.
  • Liaise and assist our project manager(s) deliver sold projects.
  • Work with our IAS / MVI / GI / Service teams on joint opportunities, promoting all AC branded technologies where applicable.
  • Be able to evaluate customer/end user vision requirements and customer/end user specifications.
  • Develop and maintain thorough understanding of the customer's processes and organizational structure.
  • Maintain and share customer interaction documentation for all assigned project communication, including but not restricted to, phone conversation notes, meeting minutes for all customer meetings, documenting and communicating all appropriate verbal communication, customer runoff documentation, cost information, Engineering changes, content cost and schedule impact, customer timing reporting.
  • Attending technical meetings and supporting the preparation of equipment proposals as and when required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company.
  • Some international travel may be required as needed.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of working in in a technical and commercial role preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience of the vision technologies such as, 3D robot vision, 3D surface inspection and 3D measurement technology in the automotive market for Tier 1 customers would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working within the automotive industry.
  • Computer skills: excellent working knowledge of MS Office 365 Productivity Tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Salesforce and any other relevant software applications.

Educational and other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a university preferably in Engineering, Business or related discipline. Fluent computer skills with various programs and databases. Ability to effectively interface with personnel at all levels; analytical, self-starter.
  • Demonstrable record of commercial experience in an automotive environment
  • Professional and positive attitude.
  • A flexible approach, the ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving environment and be able to demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.
  • Good experience in communication to present SFA to our customers in both written and personal scenarios
  • Ability to represent the company externally in a highly professional and credible manner.
