We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Frankland, as a Local Education Manager. This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information
HMP Frankland is a high-security prison located in Durham, forming part of the Tees & Wear region. It plays a vital role in the UK's custodial system, housing Category A and B prisoners. The establishment is recognised for its structured and secure environment, with a strong focus on rehabilitation and education.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
- Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Developing, leading and managing a team effectively
- Managing colleagues including the deployment of those colleagues and appropriate delegation of tasks
- Implementing and managing continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures
- Successful partnership working
- Working within a secure environment
- Working with learners with challenging behaviour
