Exciting Opportunity: Van Local Business Development Manager

Location: Exeter

Salary:Up to £52,000.00 per annum (OTE)
Hours:Monday to Friday 08:30 - 18:00 with 1 hour lunch with Saturdays 08:30- 13:00 on a rota basis

We are looking for skilled Local Business Development Manager to join our thriving Van sales team at Exeter.

About the Role

As a Van Local Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of an exciting venture - developing and driving sales of new and used Vans across multiple franchises.

  • Sell new and used Vans in line with company targets, standards, and processes
  • Manage customer leads from initial enquiry through to sale and vehicle delivery
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners
  • Provide expert advice on vehicles, pricing, specifications, finance, and insurance products
  • Assess used vehicles and conduct part-exchange appraisals
  • Maintain accurate customer records and manage all sales administration in line with legal and franchise requirements
  • Liaise with marketing and aftersales teams to ensure an excellent end-to-end customer experience
  • Review customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement

What's required from you?

We're seeking someone who combines experience, drive, and strong industry networks to help grow our multi-franchise van sales operation, who can demonstrate:

  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of finance and insurance within vehicle sales.
  • A proactive, customer-first mindset with the drive to exceed targets.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple leads effectively.
