We're looking for a Sustainability Manager to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and strategic individual to drive our environmental responsibility, social impact, and long-term business resilience.
Reporting to the Ideas & Innovation Director, this is a full-time and permanent position. The working hours will be Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm. The Company operates a flexible working policy, with office hours of 7.00am-7.00pm Monday-Friday.

What is the role?
You'll be part of a forward-thinking Ideas & Innovation team, reporting directly to the Ideas and Innovation Director. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of sustainability at Loadhog and make a measurable impact on our journey to net zero. As our sustainability manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our ESG strategy.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- ensuring compliance with relevant sustainability standards such as EPR, SECR, ESOS.
- developing carbon reduction plans and targets, driving actions, and maintaining accurate records.
- preparing ESG reports as required.
- managing resources such as energy, waste, and materials to minimise environmental impact.
- providing sustainability information for annual accounts.
- building relationships with stakeholders (internal and external) to raise awareness and engagement in sustainability and ESG activity.
- promoting current and emerging best practice in sustainability.
- developing sustainability KPIs and a performance dashboard, implementing a cross-organisational monitoring programme to ensure data is auditable and aligned with our strategy.
- working collaboratively across the business to embed sustainability considerations into operations and align suppliers with our goals.
- leading delivery of our environmental commitments and strategy, including net zero targets, emissions reduction roadmap, waste management, and circularity initiatives.
- coordinating and leading input from external consultants.

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Degree-level qualification in sustainability or environmental management, or equivalent business experience.
- Extensive knowledge of carbon reduction within Scope 1, 2, and 3.
- Experience in sustainability management and strategy development.
- Strong subject matter expertise in areas including net zero pathways, waste, and circularity.
- Confidence in working with data and digital tools to support carbon accounting.
- Proficiency in using PC-based IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills including communication, relationship building, negotiation, decision making, and influencing.
- High levels of self-management including organisation, planning, self-motivation, creative thinking, and emotional intelligence.
