Job Title: Line of Business Head of Cyber Security

Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £86,000 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and manage resources needed for the planning, development and delivery of specified cyber services into the Line of Business
  • Engage with and influences senior level stakeholders and project teams through change management processes, ensuring that all activities are managed to provide agreed levels of service integration
  • Assist the Head of Cyber & Information Security – Air Sector in budgeting, estimating, planning and objective setting
  • Plan and manage implementation of processes and procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of automated systems and services
  • Aligns the Line of Business cyber activities to clearly stated business and financial goals and performance targets
  • Act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders and influencers and supports the safeguard of information through supporting business change by building relationships with and between senior strategists, planners, designers and operational business partners
  • Manages Line of Business supplier cyber security risk, ensuring they are monitored and regularly reviewed and assessed against contractual obligations and organisational standards
  • Maintain an awareness of the BAE Systems Global Security Strategy and develops departmental plans, policies and processes looking for continued improvement opportunities
  • Coordinates the promotion, development, acquisition and implementation of security controls and services within the Line of Business in close liaison with those responsible for management and strategy within the Air Cyber team

Your skills and experiences:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent worked experience) preferably in a related discipline
  • Significant understanding of emerging cyber requirements and cyber security threats
  • A broad and comprehensive technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and technologies (with OT knowledge being an additional benefit)
  • Excellent understanding of government and industry standard security policy, standards and best practice guidance
  • Significant experience of working in an Cyber leadership role managing and delivering key cyber security projects
  • Professional IT Security qualification such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) / Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) would be desirable

Our specialised cyber teams are embedded within each line of business within the Air sector, serving as the front line of our businesses cyber defence and pioneering the future of cyber protection.

As an integral extension of the Air Sector Cyber team, and in synergy with our Protective Security team, our Lines of Business Cyber teams collaborate closely across the enterprise.
