Making A Difference as a Library Support Manager in St Helens Library Service

St Helens Library Service requires a Library Support Manager to support the organisation in leading and delivering the digital service offer, alongside managing both the Schools Library Service and Library Support teams.

The Library Service currently operates from 7 sites with a workforce of over 50 staff, this post is part of the Libraries Management Team and is key to the continued development of the service.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

Experience of managing and developing Library Management Systems and/or similar ICT systems

Significant experience of leading, managing and motivating staff to create and maintain high quality and inclusive offers

The ability to manage and monitor performance, putting strategies into place when needed

The role involves working with external stakeholders and in partnership with other teams across the Council. It is a permanent post, contracted for 37 hours per week.
