£38, 394 - £56, 292 - Salary per annum (pro rata)

About the Role
We are currently seeking aLecturer or Senior Lecturerto contribute to our teaching provision in Fashion Design at both postgraduate and undergraduate level. As a leading provider of fashion education, our current courses BA Fashion Design and MA Fashion and, Fashion and Creative Pattern Cutting, attract a diverse mix of UK and International students.We are seeking to recruit forward-thinking individuals who can inspire and equip the next generation of designers with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in this ever-evolving industry. Specifically, we hope to recruit individuals who are: skilled creative pattern cutters, ideally with both manual and digital skills; both able and intrigued by developing fashion approaches to emerging digital technologies; committed to challenging and teaching students to develop sustainable practices.
You will work under the direction of the Principal Lecturer and contribute to the continuous development and evolution of the course by delivering high-quality teaching and learning to undergraduate/postgraduate students.You should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse cohort of students and know how to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively using a variety of teaching methods. Previous experience in teaching at higher education level or significant industry experience is required along with a willingness to engage with industry developments, maintain strong industry links and incorporate real-world insights into your teaching practice.
