Salary: From £50,000 plus car allowance.

About the role
Lead the training function across Activate Group, delivering learning solutions that improve team member efficiency and effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the Group's training team.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to determine and assess the Group's training and team member learning and development needs.
- Input into the development of the Group's annual training plan, aligned to the Group's annual objectives.
- Lead the creation of high quality training materials and programmes which support the delivery of business objectives.
- Work with team members, people managers, and the wider People Team to ensure the delivery of learning and development objectives.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness and success of training programmes, including collecting and analysing feedback.
- Keep up-to-date on the latest learning and development trends, developments and best practices.
- Identify and implement a wide range of best practice learning and development techniques to improve efficiency and returns on investment
- Manage team member enrolment for training, scheduling training sessions and organising the resources to facilitate training programmes
- Manage training budgets as required
- Support the delivery of Group People Plan activities / change initiatives
- Support the development of People Team Apprentices as needed, coaching and task managing where required
- Act as an ambassador for the Group Values, ensuring that the values are embedded in every stage of the team member journey
Knowledge and experience
- Previous experience as a learning and development manager in a fast-paced operational business
- People management experience, ideally including managing a team based across multiple sites
- Experience of developing and implementing training programmes
- Knowledge and experience of various training methods including coaching, workshops, classroom training, mentoring and e-learning programme
- Experience of managing training budgets
Skills
- Ability to track the performance of training programmes, write reports and recommend strategies for improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding IT and leadership skills
- Strong organisation, planning and time management skills
- Strong relationship building/client management skills
