Job Title: Lead Quality Engineer
Location: Barrow-In-Furness (Full-time Onsite)

What you’ll be doing:
- Providing specialist guidance and support to the Quality Function whilst ensuring that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System
- Conducting specialist Quality activities in accordance with relevant processes and procedures
- Having a working knowledge of and apply the local Management System documentation e.g. policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and processes in their related area
- Liaising / interfacing with appropriate areas of the business and build effective relationships
- Understanding of Quality objectives
- Producing written reports and presentations ensuring accuracy and clarity of meaning
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Computer system skills – Microsoft Office, SharePoint and SAP
- Expert in the use Problem solving Tools and Techniques Including 8D, DMAIC etc
- Ability to produce data and Analyse Trends enabling improvement opportunities to be identified
Desirable:
- Submarine Business knowledge
- Reporting skills

The Quality Assurance Team:
As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will be part of a team supporting the Astute and Dreadnought programmes. There is responsibility for ensuring that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a range of both internal and external stakeholders, working with a wide range of suppliers who produce all products for the submarine programmes within a fast paced environment.
