Job Title: Lead Project Professional – Delivery

Location: Broad Oak / Frimley/ Filton / Weymouth – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform advanced project reporting & scheduling

  • Manage the full project lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met, and that financial and other benefits are achieved.

  • Apply appropriate PM methods and tools to identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate

  • Consolidate expertise from multiple sources, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives, and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation

  • Deputise for the Project Manager as appropriate

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Extensive knowledge of Project Management toolsets and techniques

  • Degree qualified or significant experience within Project Management

  • Excellent Stakeholder Management experience with the ability to guide and influence

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Business processes and procedures

  • Demonstrable leadership experience through leading and managing a team

Desirable:

  • Project Management qualification such as the APM/Prince2

  • Knowledge of Royal Navy Combat Systems, experience of the UK Defence Industry and or working with the UK MOD

The Command & Control Team:

Join the Command & Control Team working on the SSN AUKUS Programme the UK’s next generation submarine design, integrating cutting edge technologies from the US and AUS. You will be working with a strong cross functional team of 6 – 9. You will engage with a wider network across multiple locations and gain exposure to a variety of key Stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to build networks, broaden your experience, and contribute to a once-in-a-generation national endeavour. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
