Lead Product Manager

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to join us in continuing to revolutionise how we digitally risk analyse and monitor SME businesses.
Your role will be to define, design and deliver a cutting edge way to use technology to lend billions annually to the UK's and US's most ambitious businesses. There is significant scope, and desire, for using AI to transform our approach to lending.
Our lending Product team is responsible for the entire end-to-end lending process - from origination, through credit decisioning, and into in-life performance. OakNorth does 'banking' a little differently - and we're looking for people who can think differently to deliver the right solutions.
You and your team will have plenty of responsibility and flexibility in how you meet the lending growth ambitions, and you'll need to be excellent at working with others across the business to maximise their knowledge in building digital solutions that can meet all the complexities of the loans we offer.
Reporting into the Product Director you will be a senior member of the product team and you will have genuine ownership, from strategy to delivery, and significant visibility. This is a role for a Lead Product Manager who wants to get things moving quickly, who can set a digital product strategy and align the business around this, who can work with data-scientists, designers and with a dedicated full-stack engineering team to build and optimise something they are truly proud of.
The role
- Lead on product vision and strategy and who can collaborate with the overall business to ensure buy-in
- Manage a team of product managers to deliver against the product roadmap- owning the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation, build, launch and in-life optimisation
- Deliver business outcomes - establish Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for your product area that drive tangible business outcomes and track your team's progress against them
- Build relationships and collaborate - within the immediate team, between functions, and across the whole organisation
- Solve complex problems - be able to clearly define the problem from various aspects (customer, technology, and internal business users) and define deliverables to solve the problem
We would love you to
- Have experience shipping complex yet customer-centric products in a fast-growing company
- Have worked in the financial, Artificial Intelligence (AI) or risk-analytical sectors
- Have a good understanding of the AI and data product lifecycle, spanning from data discovery, data processing, model development, model deployment, and model monitoring
- Have a desire to lead and mentor multiple Product Managers across domains and know how to support and develop your team members whilst driving from the front
- Have an understanding of domain driven design
- Be data-driven, passionate about metrics, and intellectually honest about how your product is performing
- Embrace a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement
- Balance innovative thinking with the ability to earn trust across the broader organisation by delivering business outcomes
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to distil a complex topic in a simple, easy-to- understand recommendation for stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong presentation and storytelling skills with an ability to take people on a journey from the very beginning
- Have significant independence/ownership for your product area
