Salary: Up to £51,645 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing Configuration Management governance and assurance via documented processes
- Defining measures for effectiveness of Configuration Management capabilities
- Working with Canadian and BAE Systems stakeholders to support design development and control
- Development and Coaching of Programme teams in Configuration Management processes
- Effectively and efficiently training and implementing Configuration Management capabilities
- Working closely with colleagues in Product Change Management
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- HNC/HND in engineering, technology or science
- Experience in using Product Data Management (PDM) / Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems i.e. TeamCenter or Windchill (PDM systems)
- Ability to liaise on all levels with Key stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience working within a comparable/similar industry
- Familiarity working with product baselines
- Experience in end-to-end engineering lifecycle with an understanding of the Configuration Management lifecycle
Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation. Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

The Product Configuration & Change Team:
This is an exciting opportunity for you to play a critical part within the Canadian River Class Destroyer Programme, in this cross functional role you will work alongside a range of different internal functions and external stakeholders.
The purpose of this role is to work with the Product Configuration Manager to define, agree, document and implement the processes by which the RCD design is to be formally controlled. You will be liaising with the enterprise configuration teams in Canada and internal BAE Engineering teams to ensure configuration processes are followed, adapted and improved throughout the product lifecycle.
This role may give you the chance to travel internationally as you work alongside our customer, allowing you to gain further exposure and to network and work across this multi-billion pound programme. We will support you in your professional career development through further learning and offer support to achieving Chartership status.
