LEAD CONTRACT PERFORMANCE MANAGER WITH NOTTINGHAM CITY COUNCIL

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: £43,421 (Level one) - £46,464 (Level four) per annum (pro rata for part time)

Location: Loxley House, Nottingham, NG2 3NG

About the Role

This position will allow the successful candidate to undertake high quality contract performance and compliance for Nottingham City Council, whilst ensuring value for money by adhering to the guiding principles of the commissioning framework.

You will be required to supervise staff or colleagues within their team and you will be required to deliver and manage a range of contracts with a value between £15 - £60 Million per annum.

Introductory information

The successful candidate will be detailed, methodical, an innate knack and ability to problem solve with a critical and detailed eye on performance management. Experience in contract management is an absolute must. The successful candidate will drive forward processes ensuring the council is up to date with all relevant legislation and compliance. They will deliver excellent customer service by using initiative, attention to detail and the ability to work with others. Within the role, you will:

  • Understand and apply the principles, practices of contract and performance management.
  • Ensure that the authority is compliant with all legislation relating to compliance and performance management.
  • Ensure that the councils supply base is sustainable and has the capacity to deliver on the behalf of the council.
  • Develop and deliver a robust contract performance process which is commensurate by delivering best value for the council.
  • Monitor financial performance on contracts and prepare regular reports for Senior Management.
  • Resolve all contract, performance and quality issues either escalated from Contract Officers, or arising from performance management meetings.
  • Line manage a team of Contract Officers and or colleagues within the council.
  • Support the development of good working relationships within the council's procurement and development team.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Organise work schedules for their team based on the council's projected procurement and tender cycle.
  • Be competent in IT Software packages, predominately MS Office or as directed.
  • Be prepared to deliver on other duties that are not set within this scope of work.

About You

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold or working towards a Contracts Management Qualification.
  • Experience in the management of high value contracts.
  • Experience in budget and finance forecasting.
  • Previous team management or similar transferable experience.
  • Excellent written and problem-solving skills.
