Role Purpose:
The corporate functions service tower (CF) in _VOIS comprises circa 3,000 people working across a broad range of corporate services including accounting, purchasing, tax, controlling, statutory accounting, security operations, HR Operations and a substantial data and analytics practice in DAIS.

The Lead Business Manager acts as a trusted advisor to the CF Service Tower Director, enabling the success of the function. They deliver advice and counsel, create and maintain effective cross-functional working and assume responsibility for director governance, special projects and smooth running of day to day. Will ensure strategic alignment working closely with partners and senior leaders in CF and _VOIS. Particular focus will be on enhancing stakeholder and partner interactions and building an advanced relationship between the CF Director and our partners. This role requires a highly capable, motivated, energised, and flexible manager who has breadth and depth of telecoms knowledge and business understanding.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

  • Contributes to the execution of strategic and annual operating goals through expertise in overall change management.
  • Provides consultancy and advice to CF Services Tower Director and/or leadership team.
  • Ensures governance of CF services agenda through in-depth understanding of the business' priorities to enable fast decision making and smooth implementation of decisions.

  • Develops, manages, and administers high quality consistent executive CF documentation and communications, including liaison with internal communications for Service Tower Director and individual service line areas.
  • Acts as liaison across CF services and _VOIS with regards to implementation and/or interpretation of overall strategy, ensuring internal buy-in of departmental heads and relevant partners in enabling functions.
  • Clarifies and shapes topics into structured approaches, building detailed memos which are clear, comprehensive, and minimising ambiguity, Shapes ad-hoc topics into mini projects, bigger initiatives.
  • Builds solid relations and contributes to the delivery of cross-company projects and acts as an interface between relevant internal and external partners, providing regular project reports and updates through the tracking of project status for the CF Tower Director
  • Identifies and evaluates the risks associated with any programme activities and takes appropriate action to control the risk.
  • Represent CF Tower director in the discussions/forums whenever required and close back loop with stakeholders/leadership team.

Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in working in virtual and matrixed multinational teams, with proven record of delivering goals in matrix organisations.
  • Ability to understand and communicate strategic issues at executive level.
  • Ability to work pro-actively on a day-to-day basis with minimum guidance on ad-hoc requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple & changing priorities and take accountability for decisions made.
  • Strong communication and superior presentation skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders and opinion leaders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Analytical and numerate, with exemplary attention to detail, and able to demonstrate strong business acumen and understanding for preparation of briefs.
  • Able to maintain high levels of discretion and confidentiality

Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years working in an operational function
  • Consulting experience
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Commercial organisation experience or client focused experience
  • In-depth understanding of any of CFSL portfolio areas
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Powerpoint, Word and Excel
