Department: Learning & Development

Location: London or Manchester (hybrid role - minimum two days a week in the office)

The Role

The global Learning & Development team provide support in the following four areas (1) The Professional Development Programme (2) the Talent Management Programme (3) Business Initiatives and (4) Practice area or business services specific training. All development provided supports the competencies of our Career Development Frameworks.

Reporting to the Head of Learning and Talent Development, the successful incumbent will be required to manage assigned projects for bespoke blended learning designs in the areas of performance management, goal setting, and leadership skills as well as driving continuous improvement activity in supplier management and L&D operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the UK/Europe region as well as our three primary global regions in NA, APAC and MEA to establish credibility, trust and knowledge of their learning needs.
  • Project-manage the design and delivery of bespoke new developmental conversations training series (to support the future global design principles of performance management).
  • Project-manage the Content Strategy for core skills in the Digital Learning Portfolio (global strategic priority) in collaboration with regional stakeholders and the central digital learning team.
  • Supervise project resources across the team and the streamlining of L&D processes and knowledge management.
  • Manage strategic relationships and modernisation journey with preferred UK based supplier network in collaboration with contracting and procurement.
  • Co-deliver Digital First/Blended Senior Manager development for business services (global in scope).
  • Act as an internal consultant identifying development gaps and making L&D and talent development recommendations.
  • Oversee the Apprenticeship Levy, advising and monitoring how best it should be utilised.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working in a professional service/partnership structure
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Experience of facilitating and designing training programmes using the most up to date learning technologies and tailoring to specific audiences
  • Evidence of coaching and people development skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Quality focussed with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Self starter, fast learner, willing to work collegiately sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues
  • Strong service orientation and demonstrable interest and concern to meet the needs of diverse internal and external stakeholders
