Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Land Access Manager for our Lower Thames Crossing project.

What you'll be doing

As a Land Access Manager, you will manage the Land Access Team, work with the National Highways Lands Team, co-ordinate interface between Project Teams, Security Manager, Landowners and Stakeholders for Land and Property Access, Pre-condition Surveys, Monitoring and Hand Back process to support the construction teams in delivering the project

  • Manage Land Access Tracker, data collection, collation, and analysis of Land Plots.
  • Maintain and update Land Files.
  • Coordinate and undertake (or manage supplier resource) for the pre-condition surveys.
  • Monitor LTC Roads North Land Access Management Plan, Land File, handover, monitoring use of land, soils, and hand back process.
  • Promote a positive environmental culture through proactive engagement and communications with project teams, including the supply chain.
  • Build and develop relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement the standards and expectations across the Project relating to Balfour Beatty's responsibilities concerning land including duties in respect of principal contractor as per Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 in line with section S1100.
  • Agreeing period of maintenance post Completion of the whole of the works, remediation, making good and post-condition survey for land that is to be handed back

Who we're looking for

  • Degree Level qualified or Diploma accredited from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) desirable, with relevant experience in Agriculture or Civil Engineering, or related similar discipline such as Rural Enterprise and Land Management (REALM)
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
  • Knowledge of Energy and Carbon [PAS 2080] (desirable).
  • Understanding of investigation (root cause analysis) techniques for Environment and Health Safety incident investigation.
  • Experience of taking notes and records of meetings with client, stakeholders or supply chain.
  • Strong and effective communication skills.
  • Experience in construction environment (desirable).
