Job Description

AECOM are recruiting for a Knowledge Manager to manage and coordinate various sources of information and knowledge tools in support of Work Winning activities for the Europe Major Pursuits team. To provide support to business line work winning teams by acting as a central point of contact for company information and as a conduit for work winning information requests across the EURI (Europe & India) region. Liaise with and collaborate with the work winning Knowledge Management teams in all the AECOM regions in the development of knowledge management approaches, tools and resources to support work winning activities. This role reports into the Head of the Europe Bid Studio, Major Pursuits team.

Responsibilities:

To develop and manage a central business development library (WW Hub) in support of bid activities. The library includes but is not limited to:

  • Standard company information (HR, financial etc.)
  • Client references and certificates of completion
  • CVs
  • Model answers and methodologies
  • Providing links to Project Track Records, images, and Work Winning processes
  • In undertaking the above duties, to liaise with all functional departments to ensure data is current, complete and accurate. To liaise with business development, bidding and marketing teams to ensure that model answers are well-written and responsive to client requests
  • To advise the business line work winners on the completion of company registrations with Constructionline and Achilles.
  • To review the standard pre-qualification question sets and provide guidance documents to enable work winners to answer the questions contained in them.
  • To review PQQ and tender questions to identify new topics and emerging trends
  • To provide advice and support to the Major Pursuits team in the use of AECOM's AI tool for pursuit activities (Oscar)
  • To provide advice, general support and coaching to work winning/bid teams within the region.

Competencies & Requirements:

  • Experience of participating in PQQs bids and tenders within the Architecture-Engineering-Construction industry
  • Is seen as an expert in the knowledge management arena
  • The ability, knowledge and experience to share, through training and coaching, best practice methods in knowledge management
  • Good communication skills, with experience in written communications and proof-reading
  • By example can set a standard of professional competence
  • Proven organisational skills and an ability to collate data effectively
  • A professional demeanor that has effective interaction with the highest levels both internally and externally
  • An understanding of the Architecture-Engineering-Construction industry and its tendering processes
  • Broad knowledge of AECOM's global services, clientele, and markets
  • Persistent approach
  • Good time-management skills; able to prioritise activities

Interfaces:

Outside the Strategy and Growth team, this role interfaces with Major Pursuits Team and with the Europe & India region business line teams, leaders, MDs and Executive Board, Client Account Managers, clients, subcontractors and JV partners.

  • To support the Major Pursuits Team, Work Winning community and technical teams using the WW Hub to win work through the provision of relevant knowledge
  • To support the business through sharing key intelligence on the industry and AECOM that gives all who are bidding an advantage against our competitors
  • To share best practice in knowledge management to drive an informed approach to knowledge

Qualifications

  • Degree level (preferable)
  • Master's degree (desirable)
