About this team

The Global Tax & Legal Collaboration and Knowledge team helps establish and support collaboration and knowledge sharing solutions that get teams talking.
Optimising community connectivity by ensuring that our tax and legal professionals have fast, intuitive access to people, content, knowledge and expertise at all times,

  • Ensuring that core content and data required to support the delivery of services to our clients is current, relevant and accessible.
  • Providing a gateway to a variety of research, benchmarking and competitive Intelligence Services spanning the entire engagement life cycle.

Role summary

Reporting to the Global Tax & Legal Knowledge Enablement Senior Manager, this role supports the delivery of strategically aligned community collaboration, knowledge sharing and business intelligence initiatives across KPMG's Global Tax & Legal Collective Strategy priorities. The role will have accountability for delivering a more consistent and benchmarked level of knowledge and collaboration support with a focus on communities, content, technology and data, business insights and research. Partnering closely with the broader Global Technology and Knowledge organisation and with other Global Tax & Legal Enabling Architecture disciplines e.g. L&D, M&C, Technology, the role will feed into the development of a more joined up approach to business planning and delivery execution.

This is a 24 month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Accountabilities

Relationship Management

  • Supporting the Knowledge Enablement Senior Manager as a point of contact for multiple Global Tax & Legal Channels, Services Lines/Networks and Enablement Areas on all knowledge management activities and specifically relating to Communities, Content, Technology & Data, Business Insights and Research
  • Understanding the strategic direction and the collaboration and knowledge requirements/objectives of the one or more Global Tax & Legal Service Lines/Networks. Helping stakeholders identify new opportunities to leverage and maximise the effectiveness of knowledge best practices, programs and solutions.
  • Establishing strong relationships with Global Tax & Legal business stakeholders and their teams and helping identify knowledge needs/requirements. Supporting the Knowledge Enablement Lead / Senior Manager with managing stakeholder communications and in resolving queries and issues.
  • Fostering relationships with key stakeholders and other enablement teams. Pro-actively drive engagement with stakeholders to receive timely feedback that can be leveraged to enhance service delivery capabilities and processes.

Knowledge Enablement

Supporting the Knowledge Enablement Senior Manager and business area stakeholders to embed M365 based business intelligence and automation capabilities in knowledge management practices. Ensuring that the Global Tax & Legal practice leverages the most recent and most appropriate knowledge and collaboration tools, technologies and functionalities.

Business Insights:

Encouraging the adoption and use of business insights and research services to support go to market activities and help win new business.

Content:

  • Supporting the deployment of cohesive content management capabilities and processes for Global Tax & Legal communities.
  • Driving and overseeing effective content management activities including content extraction, aggregation and lifecycle management

Technology:

  • Encouraging adoption and optimizing the use of KPMG knowledge tools and technologies to drive increased community engagement and cross-organizational knowledge sharing.
  • Provisioning and providing ongoing support for KPMG One Intranet pages and SPO practice sites

Communities:

  • Helping Global Tax & Legal communities determine and achieve their strategic knowledge sharing goals and business objectives.
  • Embedding sustainable knowledge sharing behaviours and best practices within everyday work practices.
  • Supporting community needs and optimizing people to people connectivity.

Experience /Knowledge / Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in a knowledge management position / exposure to knowledge management focused projects
  • Awareness of the principles of knowledge management models and processes, tools, structures and technologies
  • Solid understanding of KPMG business strategy, content areas and key issues
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to perform with minimal direction and supervision with a proactive work style
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across an organization including global, country, and technology.
  • Ability to develop requirements based on stakeholder input
  • Performance/status reporting
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of the KPMG organisation and business processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Well organised with good prioritisation/workload management abilities
  • Strong people management and development skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good understanding of KPMG's marketing and branding principles
  • Collaborative, team player, who has exceptional relationship building/relationship management skills to establish rapport, build trust and confidence, and manage client expectations
  • Demonstrate a commercially aware and client focused approach.
  • 'A blend of Tax business facing and technical skills, a big picture vision with the drive to make that vision a reality
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to identify business issues and drive the delivery of actionable solutions
  • A relevant undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience in Knowledge and Information Management or a related discipline
  • Proven experience and technical/commercial awareness of the Tax and legal sector - a professional qualification in this field would - be beneficial.
