About the role:
The Back of House Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of all food and kitchen-related goods receiving and storage operations. This role ensures timely, accurate delivery of supplies, maintains the integrity and quality of kitchen inventory, and works closely with kitchen staff, suppliers, and other departments to ensure the seamless operation of the food production and service areas during matchdays and events.
- Manage Culinary Storage & Cleanliness: Oversee the efficient storage, organization, and cleanliness of culinary deliveries and storage areas at the iconic Kia Oval, ensuring a seamless and well-maintained environment.
- Streamline Receiving Procedures: Take full responsibility for the goods receiving process, ensuring all items match invoices and delivery notes. Accurately record all order and delivery details in the company's financial system.
- Coordinate Consumables & Chemical Orders: Handle orders for disposables and chemicals, supporting smooth operations for culinary staff and ensuring timely stock levels.
- Ensure Equipment Organization: Manage proper storage of equipment, including leading the annual inventory process to keep everything in top condition and ready for use.
- Oversee Equipment Hire Logistics: Coordinate with the logistics team for efficient equipment hire collections, ensuring everything is in place for operations.
- Support Day-to-Day & Match Day Operations: Facilitate the setup of equipment for daily operations and match day events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and according to plan.
- Lead the Kitchen & Logistics Team: Manage and motivate the kitchen and logistics porters, ensuring smooth and efficient operations both on a regular basis and during match day events.
