Hachette UK is part of Hachette Livre, the world's third largest trade and educational publisher. As well as our headquarters in Carmelite House, London, and our state-of-the-art book distribution centre in Didcot, Oxfordshire, we have recently opened five new offices in Manchester, Bristol, Sheffield, Newcastle, and Edinburgh. What you'll be doing

  • You will be responsible for all aspects of account management including costings, processing orders and dealing with general information requests and queries.
  • Monitoring sales against budget on a regular basis and developing business/strategy plans for individual accounts
  • Where required, attend and lead relevant customer meetings
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders including Editorial, Production and Sales ensuring that new deals are communicated through the sign-off process and divisions have a clear understanding of the deals presented
  • Work with Non-Trade Sales Directors and divisional SDs to ensure all divisional targets are met
  • Identify and develop key brand author strategies
  • Feedback market and retail trends to publishers, editors and design

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a commercially focused sales professional to join an enthusiastic and driven Non-Trade team.  Working across the whole of the HUK Group and selling in to a designated portfolio of accounts, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • To manage a designated portfolio of accounts building strong customer relationships and maintaining our status as a supplier of choice
  • Working across the whole range of titles from the HUK Group to present and sell new and backlist titles and curated product ranges to the customers
  • To have a strong focus on maximising growth and profitable sales
  • To project manage print runs from end to end including costings

The role will be based at our London offices, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
