The Opportunity

This will be a complete service for Key Accounts; monitoring and managing the full start to end process on existing and new B2B Key Account customers. As a Key Account Manager you will need to be accurate and timely with cash allocation of payments and keep unallocated cash to a minimum. Credit accounts will need to be monitored and reassessed regularly to ensure the correct level of credit is being provided and the appropriate risk mitigation measures are in place.

As part of our Credit Risk Department, you will be collaborating cross functionally with the other three elements of our Credit Risk Department which are: Credit Risk Analysts (Applications), Sales Ledger & Credit (Administration), and Credit Control (Collections).

This is a permanent, full time role working 37 hours over 5 days between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday. There is a requirement for some flexibility to ensure that service levels are maintained and work is delivered.

Each of the 4 Credit Risk team are managed by four managers specializing in their specific fields. There is a continuous process of Improvement within the department to retain accreditation from the Institute of Credit Management for best in class. All employees work together providing seamless service, ensuring both business needs and client's needs are always met.

Day to Day responsibilities

  • Cash Allocations and reconciliation in a timely matter
  • Bespoke processes specific to individual Key Accounts
  • Complete adhoc duties, such as refunds and general maintenance of the accounts to prevent delays
  • Risk Assessment - dealing with customer requests to increase credit limits, change payment terms, performing credit checks and understanding the results
  • Performing essential inbound/outbound calls and emails relating to cash collection to ensure aged debt is kept to a minimum
  • Resolve dispute queries relating to invoiced goods (volume supplied vs received), PO validity checks and price discrepancies
  • Complete regular training to ensure best practice and training of new members
  • Identify and rectify any card misuse

  • You possess sophisticated knowledge of PC/literacy skills, including the confident use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
