Role Summary
As the Back Office Transformation Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's rapid growth by designing and implementing a scalable and efficient back-office operating model. Reporting into the Head of KDN Transformation, this role will focus on improving Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, and other key support functions. Your work will align with the broader transformation program, ensuring back-office improvements integrate seamlessly with the organisation's future-state operating model. Success in this role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to navigate change while collaborating with corporate service leaders.
How you will make your mark
- Transformation Alignment and Execution: Collaborate with the KDN Head of Transformation and corporate services leaders to ensure back-office initiatives align with the broader operating model strategy. Execute the transformation roadmap for back-office functions, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Redesign workflows, processes, and policies across back-office functions to improve efficiency, standardisation, and compliance. Introduce best practices for governance, reporting, and internal controls.
- Technology Enablement: Support the evaluation and implementation of technology solutions (e.g., ERP systems, HRIS, automation tools) to enable scalable operations. Drive the adoption of technology across back-office teams and ensure effective training and change management.
- Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with key stakeholders to embed a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Lead change management efforts within back-office teams, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
- Performance Monitoring: Define KPIs and metrics to track the success of back-office transformation initiatives. Monitor budgets, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.
This is the job for you if you have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven track record of leading back-office transformation projects, ideally as part of broader organisational change programs.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse and often widespread stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments.
-Strong understanding of back-office functions (Finance, HR, IT, etc.), with experience in process optimisation and implementing technology solutions.
- Expertise in leading change management efforts and embedding continuous improvement practices. - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
