The role is part of the T&L COO organization to ensure consistency across solutions, and is then "attached" to a specific solution(s).

Your expertise will be key in executing critical business performance strategies.

How you will make your mark

Operational Performance & Execution

  • Leader overseeing the business execution of KDN's global IDT solution, with a strong focus on "run the business" levers across the entire team supporting KDN IDT. This requires close collaboration with KDN Delivery Centre Heads, IDT Delivery Leads, KDN Finance/IT/HR, Tax Technology, and the various KDN engagement leaders/managers and their teams across IDT.
  • Leads the gathering of materials and assists the Solution Owner in presenting a clear story about all the business performance elements of the Solution, including its health.
  • Leads the annual planning process for IDT and ongoing reforecasting, monitors actuals versus plan, conducts analyses on engagement profitability, DSO, lock-up, utilization, trajectory (including sales pipeline, backlog of won-deals in transition, and transition-outs), etc., and drives execution of various levers to optimize the resulting opportunities and risks.

  • Responsible for defining and managing key business performance metrics impacting the IDT Solution.
  • Ensures critical business performance levers driving top and bottom-line impact are executed effectively, so the revenue and contribution margin plans for a business are met or exceeded (e.g., overseeing KDN IDT "pricing" desk to ensure KDN's quoted fixed cost charges are fully recovering its actual cost, engagement profitability, out-of-scope capture and billing, managing exceptions around contacting, etc.).
  • Ensures that the expected pipeline of revenue is in line with the planned staffing and drives the execution of needed adjustments accordingly.
  • Brings a structured framework to a Solution's business plan for the year, including calling out the key metrics, which are reported monthly.

This is the job for you if you have

  • Ability to drive and be part of KPMG's transformation, truly changing professional services - recognizing that KDN and Global Delivery Models are a fundamental catalyst.
  • Solid P&L management experience with an "operator" / commercial mindset in a professional services environment. A financial planning & analysis background or related role (e.g., CPA / CA) is also helpful.
  • Desire to expand your perspective by operating in a global business-oriented role for KPMG, with all the uncertainties and complexities that come with that, as well as working with various cultures and time zones.
  • Executive presence with strong people management and influencing skills, complemented by strong collaboration skills.

  • Excellent executive communication skills, including business storytelling (including the use of PowerPoint and PowerBI as tools to support that).
  • Ability to bring a structured framework to a business and then effectively operate against that structure.
  • Good understanding of professional services engagement accounting and how that feeds into a P&L for a business.
  • A "can-do" attitude.
