About the Role
We're looking for a Junior Social Media Manager (m/f/d) to join our Transport communications team and help drive our presence across social channels. Based in Manchester, with flexible hybrid working options, this is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key social media activities while developing your skills in a supportive, international environment.
You'll be hands-on in managing the company's social media channels, supporting selected leaders with their social presence, contributing to our employee advocacy programme, and helping shape the content for global campaigns. You'll work closely with colleagues not just in Europe, but across the globe, in a fast-paced and purpose-driven sector.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both coordination and execution - planning, creating, and delivering engaging content, and working with a distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the company's social media channels
- Create and publish compelling, professional content
- Support selected leaders with their professional presence on LinkedIn
- Help activate an employee advocacy programme to extend our social reach
- Contribute to global campaigns in collaboration with colleagues worldwide
- Support with tactical social media input as part of tender communications
- Monitor performance and suggest improvements based on analytics
- Work closely with a team based in Copenhagen, the UK, and beyond
What We're Looking For
- Native or fluent English speaker, with strong writing and editing skills (additional German language skills would be very beneficial)
- First experience managing or supporting social media for an organisation (internship or junior-level role)
- Skilled at creating professional, audience-focused content for platforms like LinkedIn
- Comfortable working across cultures and time zones
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Experience in international or distributed teams is a strong plus
- Interest or background in infrastructure, engineering, or transport sectors is a bonus
