Job Description

Sanden International (Europe) GmbH is looking for a full time (Junior) Sales Account Manager based in Basingstoke, UK. Within our UK branch, you will be part of our Aftermarket Sales Department, which is the driving force behind our company's growth, acquiring new territories/customers and maintaining good relationship with current customers. You will be responsible for managing approximately 60 customers to total satisfaction.

Essential responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Acquiring new business through effective project management and the amicable negotiation of price structures and customer service levels
  • Preservation of existing aftermarket customers through improved customer relationship management as well as the fast solution of problems and requirements of customers in compliance with the company's internal QMS and official and legal regulations
  • Monitoring and maintenance of existing customers
  • Monitoring of deliveries, samples and warranty issues, etc.
  • Promotion of the company's image and effective customer care through good communication with aftermarket customers, members of the global aftermarket sales team and other Sanden employees
  • Providing market information, identifying business opportunities and acquiring new business in new territories and new distributors
  • Contact point for customers; responsible for considering customer requirements with regard to their functional areas

Other responsibilities:

  • Compliance with official regulations and internal company guidelines and processes (S-TQM, EMS and QMS etc.)
  • Develop realistic sales strategies, plans and budgets as part of the mid-term plan to support company goals
  • Development and processing of special projects and flexible support for team members, managers and other employees

Qualifications

Required experience and education:

  • Demonstrated experience in Aftermarket Sales with customer care and business acquisition, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Any degree in business fields is welcome

Your Must Haves:

  • Ability to build and nurture fruitful and mutually beneficial relationships with our aftermarket customers by understanding their needs
  • Strong command of verbal and written English, allowing for clear articulation of ideas, concepts, thoughts, and complex information
  • Proficient in price negotiation techniques to secure favourable deals with customers
  • Aptitude in marketing strategies and understanding market trends for effective decision-making
  • Analytical skills to interpret and utilize numerical data for informed business decisions
  • Ability to understand technical projects and specifications (e. g. explaining drawings to a client)
  • Can-Do attitude, self-motivated and proactive mentality with a capacity to overcome issues in a quick manner
  • Highly resourceful to finding the corresponding solutions to any blocking points to business growth
  • Awareness of existing market solutions in mobile thermal management
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills with teams of different disciplines and various intercultural background (European/Chinese/Japanese)
  • Empathy and active listening abilities

Your Nice-to-Haves:

  • Proficiency in written and verbal German and/or French (a plus for Chinese)
  • Project Management skills are welcome
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-changing environment

You will be required to work at the job location for at least 2 days per week.

This role will involve extensive European and Global travel on a frequent basis.
