To ensure efficient and effective operational management and delivery of national and local performance targets

To deputise for the Operational Services Managers when necessary.

To assist and where appropriate lead Divisional projects, providing regular update reports on the progress of work.

To work with other Directorates/Divisions to ensure the achievement of the Trust's and Divisional corporate objectives.

To work flexibly in order to deliver the Directorate agenda and to offer support to other colleagues including cover in times of absence.

To provide general administrative support to the Directorates, ensuring in particular that supporting services are delivered effectively in the interests of patient care.

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Intermediate level qualification or equivalent experience e.g. HNC, Diploma GCSE in English and Maths

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Some experience of working in an acute Trust Some experience of operational management
  • Some experience of cancer pathways

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of management of change issues

Skills & Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Operational management skills
  • Diplomacy and ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Leadership and team building skills

Desirable criteria

  • Awareness of NHS plan access Targets
