Junior Manager - People Operations

Join BMG's People Excellence team and provide seamless support by overseeing and maintaining HR administrative functions ensuring clear communication, efficient workflows and exceptional service to all stakeholders. We're looking for a proactive, adaptable and detail orientated individual, with strong organisational and leadership skills to streamline processes, drive efficiency, and foster collaboration - you'll play a key role in supporting and strengthening our team!

Key Responsibilities:

People Team Administrative Support

  • Prepare documents for the People team including presentations, agendas, policy/procedure and meeting minutes whilst scheduling team meetings and resolving calendar conflicts
  • Track project progress, maintain timelines and follow up on team tasks as required

People Administration

  • Manage employee life cycle processes including preparing documents for onboarding, offboarding and employee changes (e.g., contracts, agreements, bonus letters)
  • Act as the primary People team contact, managing employee queries through our ticketing system
  • Maintain People systems and administer payroll, benefits, and pension processes accurately

Compliance

  • Supporting with IR35 and internal audits, ensuring that all policies, processes, and procedures meet legal and regulatory standards

Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Design and deliver company induction sessions for new employees
  • Plan engagement events for employees (birthdays, anniversaries, promotions)
  • Draft People communications (e.g., payroll reminders, benefit updates, DE&I awareness)

Process Improvement

  • Process invoices and raise purchase orders via internal systems
  • Collaborate with People Operations Manager to optimise People team processes for improved efficiency
  • Implement best practices to enhance team productivity and workflow, ideally including introducing new tools

Your Profile

  • Experience in structuring and streamlining team processes to enhance efficiency
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach by taking full ownership of assigned areas, anticipating team needs, and suggesting improvements
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Time management skills to drive efficient, collaborative team meetings, from agenda-setting to follow-up
  • A passion for administration with exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in all MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Familiarity with tools and software for project management and scheduling (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Trello)

Pay Range

£35,000 - £37,000 per annum

The above salary is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits as listed above.
