An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the IT Projects Team as an Junior Project Manager.

We are looking for an individual who has a clear passion to want to make a difference, motivated and enthusiastic.

The successful candidate will be well organised, have an analytical approach to problem solving and will have great communications skills; customer services experience is essential to this role. Has an enthusiasm to lead digital change, ability to work under pressure and has the desire to manage, deliver a wide range of IT projects as part of the Trusts Digital Strategy.

This role will be providing co-ordination and administration services to support delivery of IT projects or workstreams including technical and business change.

This is being offered as a 12-month secondment. If you are applying for a secondment, please ensure your current line manager is in agreement.

Main duties of the job

As a member of IT projects team, you will provide project management, co-ordination and administration services to the ITC Department in the delivery of the Trust's strategic and digital transformation programmes.

You will be required to work across the Trust managing a range of project and or work streams ensuring the successful change processes are undertaken and work packages delivered to the required standard, quality and within the specified constraints.

The post holder will be responsible for producing result that are capable of achieving the required benefits as defined within the Business Caseand the Project Initiation Document.

As a member of IT projects team, the post holder will provide project management services to the ITC Department in the delivery of the Trusts strategic and digital transformation programmes.

They will work across the Trust managing a range or project work streams ensuring the successful delivery of the required products, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST

  • To support the IT Programme & Senior IT Projects Manager in meeting organisational objectives by co-ordinating and delivering projects within the IT department
  • Lead in collaboration with management colleagues, the identification of service development needs required to meet the Trusts strategic and digital objectives producing effective solutions to address them
  • To be responsible for the management and successful delivery of projects and work streams, within the IT programme portfolio to the required quality and standard
  • Liaise project teams to produce documentation needed to deliver the assigned projects or workstreams
  • Support the organisation in business process change and service improvement planning
  • To effectively lead communication of projects benefits, justification and progress to all stakeholders
  • Raise awareness to support the delivery of projects
  • To liaise with the department across the Trust and external organisations when delivering projects

  • Work collaboratively with the IT Programme & Senior IT Projects Manager to ensure projects are achieved as defined and agreed.
  • Challenge existing practices, ensuring that progressive solutions and considering models of best practice when delivering projects or workstreams.
  • Intervene as necessary, in order to remain on plan, escalate in a pro-active manner, problem solve or resolve through effective communication.
  • To ensure information is gathered from all appropriate sources and synthesised, analysed and reported on regarding projects being undertaken and presented to senior managers as requested.
  • To build and develop collaborative working relationships with stakeholders within Partnership Trust and other external agencies.
  • The post holder is expected to actively support the aims and values, policies and procedures of Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
