We are looking to recruit a Junior Category Manager as we expand our UK Category Management team

Your responsibilities:

Working in a busy Commercial team you will be supporting the Category Manager to :

  • Build trusted category partnerships with key retail customers
  • Understand category performances and assist in the development of insightful category recommendations
  • Deliver compelling customer specific category and shopper strategies using data, trends and insights
  • Deliver customer category presentations for monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reviews
  • Monitor, track and report on global category and personal care trends identifying areas of interest
  • Monitor and track consumer reviews and acceptance of key PL and branded products
  • Track market changes and understand the implications for PL customers
  • Coordinate online consumer insight projects to establish usage and attitude to concepts, claims and design.
  • Coordinate consumer panel tests to validate product claims, product acceptance, new product specifications

Your profile:

  • Commercially aware and adaptable with an eye for detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workload to agreed deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Kantar, Nielsen, IGD, Circana and other data agencies an advantage
  • Knowledge of retailer systems an advantage (Dunnhumby, Coop HIVE, Retail link) an advantage
  • Ideally 2+ years experience in an FMCG environment in a category or marketing role
