Job Title: Junior Bid Manager

Location: Surrey – Guildford – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Up to £32,500 commensurate with skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Establish bidding environment, including Project Share and support activities relating to simple cost modelling
  • Creation and ownership of Bid Schedule / Bid Book Plan and management of bid team activities and actions in line with the bid plan
  • Manage the bid development process, tracking progress, setting up reviews, providing background material to reviewers
  • Ensure that effective governance (i.e. Assurance Framework and other review mechanisms) and mandated reporting policies are adhered to.
  • Derive bid budget; monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and act where these deviate from agreed budget or agreed task contingency
  • Schedule/organise key bid reviews to ensure quality and compliance, together with consistency across the bid and associated materials
  • Close down of the “project” at the end of a bid, including personal performance reviews, project lessons learned and harvesting of reusable collateral (i.e. improved propositions, updated processes, reusable modules)
  • Bid artefacts (with supervision) as required for bid activities undertaken (including both customer deliverables and internal assurance artefacts)

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Requires a basic understanding and knowledge of the area in which the role operates, with a comparable level experience of working in Bid Management or a complimentary area of specialism
  • Has some awareness of business winning environment with further willingness to learn

Desirable:

  • Awareness of latest bid best practice techniques
  • Experience of understanding business requirements and business winning tools
