Role: ITAM Head of Consultancy
Location: London (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Package: Competitive base salary plus large company benefits, company car, bonus, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours: 9.00 am - 5.30 pm Monday - Friday

Role purpose:
As the ITAM Head of Consultancy, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our IT Asset Management and LifeCycle Consultants. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of consultants to ensure that the quality of work being delivered to our customers is of a high standard. You will also take responsibility for the evolution of ITAM and LifeCycle services, ensuring SCC's service offerings are staying relevant and market leading. Your leadership skills, ITAM knowledge, and ability to motivate and coach a team will be critical in ensuring the team's success.
Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Consultants. Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members. Monitor and evaluate team performance regularly. Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, strategies, and best practice. Lead the consultancy team to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions.
- Team Performance: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team performance. Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing consultancy team. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth. Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.
- Service Delivery Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Consultants. Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members. Monitor and evaluate team performance regularly. Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, strategies, and best practice. Lead the consultancy team to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction. Ensure all consultancy deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry best practices. Act as the primary point of contact for major consultancy projects and managed services, providing expert advice and guidance. Assist team members in managing key customer accounts and resolving issues. Ensure that the team provides exceptional customer service and addresses customer inquiries and concerns promptly. Implement and maintain robust quality control processes.
- Service Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with the Head of Service Delivery and ITAM Sales Leader to develop implementation plans for new and existing services. Analyse market trends and competition to identify opportunities and threats. Make recommendations for improvements in ITAM BU processes and strategies. Provide assistance to the ITAM Sales Leader where necessary to execute the sales strategy.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the General Manager. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and other relevant data.
- Team Development: Identify training needs within the team and coordinate coaching and mentoring sessions. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Recruit and onboard new sales team members.
Skills and experience:
- Experience delivering ITAM or IT LifeCycle services as a consultant.
- Previous experience in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Presentation skills are a must.
