Job Purpose

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing highly visible and critical projects, ensuring they meet their objectives efficiently and effectively. This role requires applying strong project management expertise to lead initiatives from inception to completion, driving results and maintaining alignment with strategic goals. The candidate will be adept at coordinating teams, managing stakeholders, and overcoming challenges to deliver successful project outcomes.

It further develops and manages core applications enabling smooth operational running of the organization across all functions. We drive and deliver future roadmaps aligned to the overall strategic direction of the business. Group Technology support services to over 7500 end users across the globe, manage the information security operation and safeguard all our assets. Our core Group Technology functions include Technical Architecture, Network & Voice, IT Security, Service Delivery, Solutions Delivery and Asset Management. Group Technology has a global presence across all regions with over 400 staff.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of the IT Workstreams of a portfolio of Global Real Estate projects including office closures, right-sizes, and re-locations
• Liaising with internal business and technical teams to ensure business and IT requirements are defined, documented and delivered
• Line management of the project management officer for IT Real Estate projects
• Management of virtual teams of technical and IT Service experts to deliver projects to time, cost, and in line with RWS technical standards
• Managing relationships and contracts with third-party technology suppliers/partners
• Owning and managing all project management deliverables including the delivery plan and RAID logs, as well as matrix management of project resources. Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks and issues and tracking all decisions/dependencies.
• Stakeholder analysis and building a stakeholder communication plan for stakeholders across the business.
• Ensuring smooth handover over all agreed deliverables.

Skills & Experiences:

• Track record of delivering large-scale and complex IT-driven projects
• Person management experience or the desire to move into people management role
• Experience of working with Service (IT Helpdesk) teams to onboard projects into Service Business-As-Usual
• Experience of working within an IT project management function as part of a virtual cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to develop and / or quality assure project lifecycle documentation and technical artefacts and manage governance to ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality
• Ability to build excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels using interpersonal and influencing skills to support project delivery
• PRINCE2 / APM or similar project management accreditation desirable but not essential
