IT Project Manager

Job Purpose:

As an I.T. Project Manager you will be responsible for the timely and effective delivery of a mix of business and technical projects, in support of the organisation's strategic objectives. The role will deliver projects through the entire delivery life cycle; from inception through to go-live and post implementation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple technology led projects in direct support of our Business and Technology Strategies
  • Delivery of complex IT oriented projects, across multiple sites and functions, managing development with 3rd party supplier developers.
  • Establish and maintain effective and trusted relationships with internal Business and IT project stakeholders
  • Management of external 3rd party suppliers on projects
  • Co-ordinate and drive collaboration of project resources to get the best from project team members
  • Production and agreement of project scope and optimised project plans and responsibility for leading and managing the project team to these plans
  • Produce and monitor resource forecasts and project budgets
  • Manage scope following appropriate change control.
  • Regular reporting on project status to sponsors, stakeholders and IS Leadership.
  • Identification and management of project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues and project team members

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager managing medium / large projects of medium complexity.
  • Experience of managing a variety of IT projects including technical infrastructure and network projects (including hardware, firewalls and VPNs etc) IP telephony projects and cloud based technology projects,
  • End to end 'Point of Sale' experience gained within a retail, cinema or leisure sector.
  • Demonstrable 3rd party supplier management experience.
  • Experience of implementing estate-wide roll outs of software and hardware together with transition into service.
  • Relevant Project management qualification would be an advantage.
  • Technical knowledge of networks including WiFi, access points, LAN and WAN (Primary and Backup)
  • Experience authoring project scope and business cases.
  • Experience of management, forecasting and tracking of budgets.
  • Prior project management experience of new build and refurbishments including installation of new IT hardware and software would be an advantage.
  • Experience of delivering projects to HLD and LLD specifications.
  • Proven ability to set clear direction and drive projects through to delivery of outcomes on time, quality and cost as well as an ability to understand project priorities from a Business and Technology perspective.
  • Able to deal with conflict and resolve issues amongst teams/ 3rd parties
  • Experience of multiple IT project delivery methodologies .
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present to senior stakeholders and proven experience in building and managing effective relationships
  • Strong Planning and organisational skills including a high level of attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to be able to travel within Europe, including to Republic of Ireland,
