IT Product Manager

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking an IT Product Manager. You will be driving product strategy across a complex IT product portfolio, defining product roadmaps, managing updates into the products, whilst ensuring alignment with DHL security policies. The Product Manager collaborates closely with central IT, business units, and other shared services to deliver innovative and customer-focused solutions.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will be responsible for:

  • Champion a customer-centric approach by understanding customer needs, conducting user research, and incorporating customer feedback into product decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business units and cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products or enhance existing ones. Manage the product development process from ideation to launch.
  • Proactively drive and contribute to the continuous improvement and standardisation agenda and seek to support positive financial performance outcomes post deployment of key updates and/or new products into the UK&I Portfolio.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management.
  • Ensure key stakeholder relationships are positive, continually improving and supporting the successful delivery products and related solutions managed in the UKI Digital Platforms team.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulations and best practises to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, data security standards and best practices.
  • Working with suppliers and global Product Managers to proactively drive data security discussions to implement and maintain the highest data standards for products and related solutions managed in the UKI Digital Platforms team.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Proven experience in managing technical IT Product portfolios in a large complex organisation.
  • Supplier management experience including commercial awareness around costings and software changes.
  • Stakeholder management and able to manage conflicting stakeholder expectations.
  • Knowledge of product governance and support, with awareness of levels governance of systems including maintaining documentation regarding the product portfolio.
  • Experience of Data protection and data security regarding IT products.
  • Experience of working in logistics or supply chain industry is desirable.
  • Project Management experience would also be useful in this role.
