About the Role:

Reporting into the Head of GIS (Global Information Services) UK & IRE, this is a strategic position and sits on the UK GIS Senior Leadership Team, with direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of a UK-wide IT Service Desk & Infrastructure team of 7, ensuring that all service delivery targets, and customer satisfaction levels are met. Your role will involve shaping, driving, and leading our ambitious plans for digital business transformation and management of our service and operational systems. This is exciting time to join our business, driving continuous improvement projects for the business and gaining exposure to senior stakeholders both locally and globally.

On a day to day basis you will:
• Develop and own the delivery of the IT Service & Operations Strategy, specific with accountability for network and infrastructure components.
• Deliver and effectively manage the Application Life Cycle Management process for the company's service and operational systems.
• Research and procure software applications and network infrastructure to propel growth forward.
• Oversee upgrades for servers, hardware, and software, including technical upgrades, configuration and BAU activity for the service team.

Lead, mentor & develop all team members to maximise their potential, productivity & future requirements of the department.

• Experience of managing IT Service/Support teams ideally across multi-sites in an ITIL environment with exposure to upgrades to cloud solutions, ERP, digitalisation etc. Salesforce/ SAP S4 experience would be highly advantageous.
• Experience with Network & Infrastructure across a multisite organisation.
• Strong communication, project management and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to our varied customer base covering both Commercial and Manufacturing sites UK wide, delivering high quality customer care. FMCG/Pharma experience would be highly desirable.

• Ideally experience of managing budgets.
