The OpsTech IT supply chain organization is accountable to manage all IT infrastructure and end user equipment deployed across Amazon fulfillment facilities globally. The team is responsible to provide end to end solutions for this equipment that includes engineering, lifecycle management, change control, demand planning, supplier readiness, material management, and total cost of ownership. This includes supplier engagement and facilitation of requirements gathering with multiple other teams to forecast and plan for multiple strategic initiatives.
As a Material Buyer, an opportunity is available to join the IT Materials Management team in EU. This role belongs to Ops Tech Solutions Supply Chain organization and will focus on supplier readiness, supplier product roadmaps, vendor relationship management, purchase order (PO) issuance and management, order tracking, risk identification and mitigation. Work closely with Project Management Office (PMO), Rapid Asset Deployment team (RAD), Supply Chain (SC) Planning, Deployment readiness and other internal teams.

Key job responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities include:
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders in Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS)
• Manage all aspects of purchasing, from PR issuance through material receipt and payment support.
• Develop efficient and accurate processes/metrics for monitoring and updating open order reports and risk identification and mitigation plans.
• Develop efficient mechanisms for communicating forecast to all suppliers for sustaining and new products.
• Serve as supply chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a variety of IT equipment categories, and manage those categories from a procurement, readiness, and risk standpoint.
• Work on the lifecycle of the product and develop supplier product roadmap in collaboration with product management team to ensure proper hygiene of data across the systems we use.
• Engage with Suppliers in a detailed, hands on approach to support every day, operational requirements related to inventory readiness, changes in components and technology, and reporting.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and cross departmental teams to support site launch, operational challenges
• Conduct audits and corrective actions with ordering, receiving, invoicing and accounts payable to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Develop robust key performance metrics reporting on invoicing, on time in full delivery and unreserved orders to drive improved process and vendor performance to highest standards
• Perform spend analysis based on a variety of relevant information, identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings, and present business case and recommendations to internal business partners.
• Work closely with Demand Planning to create purchasing plan and make recommendations on strategies and inventory decisions.
• Drive continuous improvements in supply chain; performing root-cause analysis in any areas of significant failures (e.g stock-in %, high backlog, overstock inventory, vendor delays) in a timely manner.
• Keep ownership and resolve complex data problem solving set by performing data cleansing, data validation to drive data quality excellence in the system.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience as procurement/purchasing analyst, or other operational role within a procurement organization
- Experience in Multiple stakeholders management.
- Supply chain experience 4+ years.
- Experience in Project Management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- FMCG experience.
