Exclaimer is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and manage the IT support function. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, resilience, and availability of our internal systems while fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact, both technically and in developing your team, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead the IT support team, promoting a culture of collaboration and personal growth.
  • Provide mentorship and ensure clear development paths for team members.
  • Regularly check in with staff to offer guidance, resolve challenges, and reinforce the shared team identity.

System Availability & Security:

  • Ensure internal systems are secure, resilient, and consistently available.
  • Oversee updates and maintenance to keep IT infrastructure up to date.
  • Drive continuous process improvements that enhance system performance and user experience.

Process & Project Management:

  • Lead strategic IT projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify process improvements and implement automation to improve service efficiency.

Customer-Centric Focus:

  • Maintain a focus on user satisfaction, prioritising quick and clear communication.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align IT efforts with business needs.

Cross-Department Collaboration & Visibility:

  • Ensure the IT team is present, visible, and engaging with all departments across the business.
  • Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement before they escalate into problems by building strong relationships with all teams (e.g., HR, Product, Sales, Legal, Operations).
  • Regularly interact with different departments to understand their technology needs and challenges.
  • Facilitate open communication between IT and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Incident Management:

  • Lead the response to critical IT issues, ensuring swift communication and resolution.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex IT incidents and work with global teams when needed.
  • Implement procedures to minimise downtime and ensure business continuity during incidents.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of leading successful IT projects and managing support teams and operations.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, security, and systems maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement abilities.
  • Ability to manage third-party vendors and outsourced teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO, GDPR) is a plus.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, CISSP, or relevant qualifications are desirable.
