The Director of PMO will oversee the Project Management Office, ensuring the successful execution of critical projects and initiatives aligned with the organization's strategic priorities. This role is pivotal in driving execution, operational excellence and providing strategic insight into project performance. The Director will focus on aligning resources, maintaining robust governance, and delivering status updates on strategic initiatives to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board. The ideal candidate combines strong execution skills, strategic vision, and operational rigor to manage a high-impact portfolio of initiatives.
Your responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for the PMO, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Work with senior leaders to establish a comprehensive strategic roadmap (Balanced Scorecard) and implement short and long-term objectives and initiatives to drive business results, and to provide fact-based thought leadership on key strategic and financial decisions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, providing insights into project progress, risks, and alignment with corporate strategies.
- Lead efforts to prioritize projects based on strategic importance, ensuring focus on high-value initiatives.
Execution Excellence
- Drive and support end-to-end execution of key corporate level initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Establish frameworks to monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies proactively.
- Ensure all initiatives maintain a clear focus on achieving measurable business outcomes.
Portfolio & Governance Management
- Build and oversee a robust governance structure for project selection, prioritization, and reporting.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact status updates and dashboards for the Executive Leadership Team and Board, clearly communicating progress, risks, and decisions required.
- Implement standardized processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and consistency in project delivery.
Strategic Initiative Reporting
- Design and implement a comprehensive system for tracking and reporting the status of strategic initiatives.
- Present executive-level summaries and actionable insights, ensuring clarity and transparency across the portfolio.
- Act as the central point of accountability for delivering high-quality updates to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and PMO professionals across the organization.
- Foster a results-driven culture with a strong focus on collaboration and accountability.
- Ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities, optimizing team performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with cross-divisional leaders to ensure alignment and support for critical initiatives, particularly in product development, compliance, and market expansion within iGaming, Sportsbetting and Lotteries.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and problem solver.
- Facilitate decision-making by providing clear and actionable data on project performance and resource utilization.
What you bring to the team:
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in driving execution and reporting on strategic initiatives for executive and board-level audiences.
- Proven experience managing portfolios of complex, high-impact projects in the iGaming industry or a related sector.
- Understanding of iGaming market trends, regulatory environments, and operational dynamics is considered as a plus.
- Exceptional execution and operational management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise updates.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to executive and board-level stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on driving measurable outcomes and managing competing priorities effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification required.
